Skiing The Right Way

Well woop-de-doo guess what? I've been skiing the wrong way. :( At least for racing. I found out two days ago that if you want to be fast, and greatly reduce the chances of hurting yourself, your feet shouldn't kick out to make a turn. So basically, when I was turning, my skis were positioned like this,

Instead, they should be positioned parallel no matter what.

The trick being, you have the turn both skis up on their edges, lean forward, and control the turn with your knees.

Boom! As soon as I preformed it correctly, I could feel the difference! It was like my feet just turned into rocket boosters and shot me down the hill.

Yes I'm definitely not perfect, but I'm trying. This is my first year in all! I've made some mistakes, learned some new things, and am having a blast. Personally, I cannot wait to find out what else I'm doing wrong because maybe, just maybe, I might be able to beat my teammates this year.

Alpine Skiing!

Yes! Snow Skiing!

Wow, I've never been this excited to play a sport before! From football, to basketball, to baseball this is a thrill like no other!
Okay, fine, I get it. I'm a newbie.  I have only skied a few times on the slopes and am probably very unprepared for what will come my way but, I posses the determination needed to succeed and a passion that is growing leaps and bounds with every passing day.
However,
I am an avid snowboarder, water skier, and conventional athlete so i don't think it will be that hard to pick up.

Anyway, I'm ready to tear it up out there on my Fischer skis! ( God bless my parents, they are the best )

What Should I Ask For Around Christmas?

JEEZ people! Have you ever been stuck not knowing what to ask for? Its super annoying right! Well I'm sorry to say but i don't have any of the answers. But maybe you do! If you have an awesome idea, feel free to leave it in the comments.

It seems like everything this year is sooooooooooo expensive. Iphones, laptops, tablets and skis. (don't even get me started.) :) What happened to those good old days that a kid could go out and get some actually cool gifts for their loved ones without totally robbing their bank accounts?

I can tell you what i wan't for Christmas, but those things don't even matter. I think that people will someday realize that the holiday really can go without the giving of gifts, due to rising costs. But hey, who doesn't love a gift!

This is going to help me change my life. I might not be like everybody else, i might have certain aspects that make me different than you, but regardless, I am going to be a somebody. The video inspired me to take steps in the right direction and completely reformed my preexisting views on myself.
